Fresh cheese stuffed chicken


  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup of fresh cheese
  • 1 teas basil
  • 1 teas thyme
  • 1/2 black pepper
  • 4 slices bacon
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt



Preparation:

Pound out your chicken breasts to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Put  fresh cheese in the center of each piece of chicken and sprinkle basil, thyme, salt and black pepper evenly over each. Roll the chicken and secure its position.

Heat  olive oil. Place chicken in pan and cover for 5 minutes. All sides must be brown.
Transfer pan into oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes on 375 degrees.
Serve with basil linguini and a salad.

When do you add the bacon? Is it precooked? These look great but I don't want to miss out on the bacon goodness!

Looks like I'm a little late on this recipe. When you say fresh cheese, does it matter what kind? I apologize if this is a common food term and I'm asking a silly question. I've just never seen a recipe call for just "fresh cheese". Thanks for your input!
